The Work
A conversation between people.
When I rejoined Soho House as General Manager of the Pool House, I saw a beautiful property that had not yet found an identity of its own.
I looked, listened to the people already there, and saw what could be. I created and presented a vision around wellness, wellbeing, human connection and community — and it was approved.
What followed, over months, was the work of bringing that vision to life — energy and atmosphere, programming, standards, procedures, systems, communication, training, daily operations — and a team brought into the direction rather than told about it. Members felt the difference, and the house found a clearer sense of itself. The company later closed the property for a major renovation and a larger future for the space following that vision.
